We Have a New Website (And It’s So Much Easier to Shop)
Today I finally get to say: Meadow & Root has a brand new website. If you’ve ever tried to shop our small-batch goods before, you know our old setup worked… but it wasn’t as smooth as I wanted it to be. I’ve been quietly building and testing behind the scenes, and now it’s ready. This new website is designed to feel simpler, calmer, and easier to navigate—because that’s what Meadow & Root is all about.
At Meadow & Root, we create small-batch, meaningful goods designed to slow you down and point your heart back to what matters. Every piece is made with intention, prayer, and care—from our hands to your home. So when it came to building an online shop, I wanted the experience to match that same feeling. Not cluttered. Not complicated. Just steady, clear, and peaceful.
Why We Migrated From Big Cartel
Big Cartel was a great starting point for Meadow & Root. It helped me get products listed fast, and it gave me a place to begin. But as the shop grew, I started needing more flexibility—especially as we added more products, more categories, and more ways for customers to browse. I also wanted a website that felt more “official,” with room to grow into everything Meadow & Root is becoming.
When you’re running a small business, you’re always balancing time, cost, and capacity. I didn’t switch platforms just to switch. I switched because I wanted to serve you better. A smoother shopping experience matters—especially when you’re trying to find something meaningful without digging through menus or clicking around endlessly.
What’s New on the Meadow & Root Website
The biggest goal of this new website was simple: make it easier for you to shop Meadow & Root. That means better organization, clearer navigation, and a layout that helps you find what you’re looking for faster. Whether you’re here for faith-rooted goods, gifts, or something cozy and comforting, you shouldn’t have to work hard to find it.
Here’s what you’ll notice right away:
- A cleaner, more organized shop layout
- Better categories (so browsing makes sense)
- A smoother checkout experience
- A website that feels like Meadow & Root—calm, intentional, and rooted
If you’ve ever been on a site that feels overwhelming the second you open it, you know why I cared about this. I want this space to feel like a deep breath. A simple place to land.
What This Means for Future Products
One of the biggest reasons I wanted to move from Big Cartel to WordPress + WooCommerce is because it gives Meadow & Root space to grow. On this new website I’m able to build out collections more clearly, expand product lines more easily, and create pages that explain the heart behind what I’m making (instead of everything living inside a basic product grid).
That matters because Meadow & Root isn’t built around one product. Yes, we have ROOTED: Through the Gospels, and I’m incredibly proud of it—but Meadow & Root is broader than one book. It’s about creating small-batch goods that support quiet moments, meaningful routines, and real life.
This new website gives me the ability to build those “next steps” in a way that feels cohesive:
- more faith-rooted goods
- more study tools and reflection pieces
- more giftable items that carry meaning
- more collections that feel curated, not random
If You’ve Shopped With Us Before
If you’ve supported Meadow & Root before, I just want to say thank you. Every purchase, every share, every kind message—those things add up in a small business more than people realize. This website is a step forward because of people like you who made the first version possible.
If you had an account on the old platform, you may need to create a new account on the new website (depending on what information transferred). If you run into any issues at all—order questions, downloads, anything—reach out through our Contact page and I’ll help you.
Where to Start on the New Website
If you’re new here (or even if you’re not), here are a few easy ways to explore:
- Visit the Shop page and browse by category
- Check out our faith-rooted items for quiet time and daily rhythm support
- Browse the dog lovers collection if you love cozy, personal designs
- Explore ROOTED if you want a simple study rhythm that feels clear and doable
Final Thoughts (And a Small Ask)
Launching a new website always sounds simple until you’re the one doing it. There were a lot of behind-the-scenes steps—testing, moving content, fixing links, double-checking products, and making sure everything still felt like us. But it was worth it, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you.
If you have a second, I’d love for you to go look around and tell me: what feels easier now? And if there’s anything you can’t find, message me so I can keep improving the experience.
What’s Coming Next (And Why This New Website Matters)
One of the biggest reasons I wanted a new website wasn’t just to make things look nicer—it was to make room for what Meadow & Root is becoming. Big Cartel served us well, but it didn’t give me the kind of space I needed to build collections in a clear way, create resource pages, or make the shop feel like more than a list of products. This new website gives us a foundation that can grow with us, without feeling chaotic or pieced together.
Moving forward, you’ll see Meadow & Root become more organized and more intentional—not because we’re trying to be bigger, but because we’re trying to be better. Better for the mom shopping during nap time. Better for the person looking for a meaningful gift at midnight. Better for the woman who wants to build a calm Bible study rhythm without getting overwhelmed. Better for the dog lover who wants something subtle, cozy, and personal for their home. I want this space to feel easy to use, peaceful to browse, and clear about what we offer.
Here are a few things I’m building toward next:
1) More collections that feel curated (not random).
Instead of adding products and hoping people find them, I’m organizing the shop into collections that make sense—so you can shop based on what you need. That might look like quiet-time tools, cozy encouragement, gifts with meaning, and designs that feel like home.
2) More ROOTED resources beyond the first book.
ROOTED is a study method, and Through the Gospels is just the very first book built from that rhythm. Over time, I want to expand ROOTED into more practical tools—like stickers, study cards, and simple add-ons that support one-chapter-a-day consistency. I’m also working on making the method easier to understand and easier to teach, so people can actually use it without feeling like they need a theology degree to begin.
3) More “gentle reminders” for everyday life.
Meadow & Root isn’t meant to be loud. The pieces here are designed to sit quietly in your life and still matter. That means you’ll see more small goods that support daily rhythms—things that can live on your desk, show up in your quiet time, or be given to someone you love when words are hard to find.
4) A better experience for returning customers.
This new website also makes it easier for me to improve the experience over time—things like better product filtering, clearer shipping and returns info, better order tracking, and a smoother customer account area. If you’re the kind of person who comes back for restocks or seasonal releases, I want it to feel simple every time you return.
5) More behind-the-scenes and story (for those who love it).
If you’ve been here for a while, you know Meadow & Root started quietly. That part won’t change. But I do want to share more of the heart behind what I’m making—why certain pieces exist, what inspired them, and how they’re meant to be used. Not in a “look at me” way… more in a “you’re not alone” way. Because so many of us are trying to build a life that feels intentional in the middle of real responsibilities.
If you’re reading this, you’re part of the reason I keep building. Whether you’ve purchased before or you’re brand new here, I’m grateful you’re in this space. And if you ever notice something that feels confusing, broken, or hard to find on the new website, I genuinely want to know. This new website is live—but it’s also growing, and I’m committed to making it better as we go.
One last thing: if you’d like to stay in the loop as new collections and resources roll out, make sure you’re on our email list. I’ll never flood your inbox. Just thoughtful updates, restocks, and gentle reminders that point you back to what matters.
Thanks for being here—welcome to the new Meadow & Root.
